Sugar Cookie House Instructions

So you received your Sweetness Sugar Cookie House...what next? Here's a step by step instructional video on how to put your Sugar Cookie House together!

Instructions: 

In a small bowl, add 2 tsp of water to the icing mix. 

Slowly add more water 1/4 tsp at a time until you get a thick consistency like stiff toothpaste.

TIP: Don’t thin the icing too much as you want it to act as a stiff ‘glue’ for your house. 

If you add too much water, don’t fret, just add more icing sugar to thicken it back up!

Transfer icing to the provided piping bag and tie the back of the bag closed. We like to use a cup to help us make this step less messy (see video).

Using scissors, cut the tip of the bag open.

QUICK TIPS:

The side pieces (the smallest cookies with windows) get iced to the inside of the front and back pieces. 

Let dry for at least 30 minutes before you put on the roof.

After 30 minutes, ice the roof to the top of your standing structure.

Add a strip of icing between the two roof pieces to secure the roof and let dry for at least 30 minutes.
